Maintenance Mechanic

Department: Manufacturing
Location: Miami, FL

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

All Matters listed herein are considered to be essential job functions.  There may be other job functions which are essential, but are not listed below. 

  • Responsible for modeling the Companyís Guiding Principles and Values:  Respect, Positive Ambition, Passion, Integrity, Discipline, Frugality and Simplicity. 
  • Responsible for following all department policies and procedures.
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems.
  • Realigns and adjusts functional components and control instruments.
  • Locates damaged air and liquid hydraulic pipes, lines or wires.
  • Starts machine and equipment to test operation following repairs.
  • Repairs electrical equipment and broken parts.
  • Performs set-up and operates metalworking tools (i.e., drill press, grinder, etc) for the repair or creation of existing parts.
  • Welds equipment and parts as needed.
  • Reads and understands schematic flowcharts and technical manuals.
  • Must perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures at all times. 
  • Must follow GMPís, SOPís, and SSOPís at all times.
  • Must correctly complete all paperwork.
  • Uses all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Performs any other assigned tasks.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent

One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
