Production Supervisor (Night Shift)

Department: Supply Chain - Manufacturing
Location: Austin, TX

Position Summary: 
The Supervisor – Production is responsible and accountable for the shift level coordination and direction of all activity toward the achievement of maximum efficiency of operations with assurance of quality products.

Role Responsibilities: 

·        Work with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review, and monitor work of supervised staff.

·        Ensure proper procedures are in place and are being followed to maximize production efficiency and quality of product.

·        Train and instruct employees regarding production and equipment standards and processes.

·        Oversee instruction, implementation, and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.

·        Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.

·        Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements to meet production needs.

·        Evaluate needs in production for daily assignment of duties.

·        Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

·        Lead production operation through organizational change.

·        Review all Manifest receipts daily and contact suppliers on all discrepancies of 500 lb. over or short.

·        Implement and drive process consistency and cross functional collaboration utilizing Continuous Improvement methodology that results in cost saving initiatives.

·        Build a high achieving production team capable of sustaining the company’s profitability, goals, and vision.

Qualifications and Experience:

·        High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree highly preferred

·        Minimum of 5 years significant, direct, and practical production supervision experience in a food/beverage, consumer products, or manufacturing industry

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships in order to drive company strategy and efficient methods in achieving the lowest landed cost possible

·        Capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks and removing obstacles

·        Ability to analyze and interpret complex sets of data and make business recommendations based on analysis

·        Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures

·        Willingness to work varying shifts
