Master Data Coordinator

Department: Accounting
Location: Dallas, TX

Position Summary:

This position is classified as Non-Exempt and is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties according to established policies and procedures.  Primary responsibilities include accurate and timely input for all new and additions/deletions/changes made to business unit(s) master data files.  The master data files include customer, product, route and vendor master files in addition to all customer pricing, promotion and purchasing master files.  Will support multiple business units/functions company wide with varying degree of complexity.  Applicant must be well organized, willing to work on mundane tasks repeatedly without losing accuracy, have great follow up skills and be detailed oriented.  Experience working with master data, GDSN or 1WorldSyn in a retail and/or wholesale environment required.   

    

Role Responsibilities: 

All matters listed herein are essential job functions.  There may be other job functions which are essential but are not listed below.  Also, Borden Dairy Management may revise this description at any time deemed necessary.

  •  Input all new and additions/deletions/changes made to business unit(s) master data files accurately and timely.  The master data files include customer, product, bill of material, route and vendor master files in addition to all customer pricing, promotion and purchasing master files.
  •  Verify accuracy for all input made to master data files.
  •  Input significant/technical master data file set-ups between business unit(s) and IT department.
  •  Input holiday schedule changes that impact master data files i.e. route run days.
  •  Process various system queries and/or reports for management upon request.
  •  Must be team oriented and able to multi-task in a busy office setting.
  •  Perform other accounting and miscellaneous duties as requested by management.
  • Perform duties within GDSN or 1WorldSync as needed 

Qualifications and Experience: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  •  High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 
  •  Applicant needs to have familiarity with master data and general ledger codes. 
  •  Intermediate EXCEL skills with SQL, Access, Query 400, ROSS, ERP systems, GDSN or 1WorldSync, Internet and Adobe experience.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Ability to troubleshoot, have strong follow-up and follow through capabilities with superior attention to detail and can perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Previous work experience supporting multiple locations.
  •  Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.

The applicant should have a basic knowledge of skills needed to operate standard office equipment including personal computers, copiers, fax machines and accurate 10-key and typing.
