Yard Spotter 2nd Shift

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm till finish 

Operate motorized equipment to move tankers/trailers to designated loading/unloading sites as needed. 


Responsible for operating motorized equipment to move tankers/trailers to and from staging areas and loading/unloading areas.

  • Responsible for operating motorized equipment to move tankers/trailers to and from staging areas and loading/unloading areas.
  • Responsible for performing daily maintenance checks and reporting any malfunctions to the garage.
  • Responsible for fueling of their equipment as needed.
  • Couple and uncouple tractor-trailer units and connecting and disconnecting brake lines as needed and perform tug test.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, demanding environment to include:
    • o   Shuttling tankers/trailers from staging areas to various loading docks, doors or loading platforms
    • o   Receive instructions via radio to accommodate logistical needs
    • o   Anticipate trailer needs and adjust accordingly 
    • o   Perform required trailer inventories and temperature checks, report any discrepancies.
    • o   Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Must be able to perform duties of this role in all weather conditions

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driverís license is REQUIRED.
  • Maintain good driving record
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures for food grade products.
  • Ability to accurately record data.


  • Must be able to work weekends, and varying shifts (days, evenings, nights).
  • Position requires frequent lifting, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping and kneeling.
  • Ability to work extended periods in cold, damp environment.
  • Capable of remaining focused and set priorities during peak demand periods with phones, associates, drivers and managers requesting multiple tasks at one time.
